Postdoctoral Training
The Impact Institute is committed to training the next generation of scholars whose research will inform strategies for ending LGBTQ health disparities. To that end, it has developed a postdoctoral training program with the goal of providing its postdoctoral fellows with ongoing training in LGBTQ health research and professional development.
Postdoctoral training activities supplement existing educational events at Impact, such as the Current Issues in LGBTQ Health lecture series, which showcases current work in the field of LGBTQ health. Additionally, while the program is intended to provide broad training in health research, it is also designed to be flexible in nature in order to accommodate the diverse interests and goals of the current postdoctoral fellows. As such, the training program is led and facilitated by a lead postdoctoral fellow with faculty input and oversight.
T32 Training Program in Translational Behavioral Science in HIV and Mental Health
The program is funded by a T32 grant from the National Institutes of Health and enrolls three postdoctoral fellows each year for two-year appointments. Trainees receive primary and secondary mentorship from faculty at Impact Institute and Feinberg School of Medicine and across Northwestern University.Former Postdoctoral Fellows
